Richard Bunker is a Clinical Psychologist and has a strong interest in treating psychological problems using evidence-based psychotherapy. Richard is passionate about treating and working with people who suffer from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Posttruamatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Depression, and Anxiety Disorders. Holding a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons), and a Master of Clinical Psychology, Richard has been trained in the most scientifcally validated approaches to treating psychological disorders. He is skilled in the use and implementation of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), thirdwave cognitive and behavaioural therapies such as: Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT), Clinical Behaviour Analysis (CBA), Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP); and exposure therapies such as: Prolonged Exposure (PE) for the treatment of PTSD, and Exposure and Response/Ritual Prevention (EXRP) for the treatment of OCD. Richard works closely with his clients to establish realistic goals for therapy that are inline with minimising human suffering and enhancing wellbeing. He provides a safe place for members of the LGBTIQ community. In addition to his clinical work, Richard takes a strong interest in teaching postgraduate Clinical Psychology trainees. He has held casual academic positions across various universities. Richard is an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS); the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA); a Professional Member of the Association for Contextual and Behavioural Science (ACBS).
