Freya is a Clinical Psychologist with a Master of Clinical Psychology from The University of Queensland. Freya has worked across many public and private settings including schools, private psychology clinics, public mental health services and psychology services within the community conducting home visits. Freya works with adults aged 18+.
Freya is a warm and authentic therapist. She is committed to supporting her clients to feel comfortable and connected in therapy. She tailors her approach based on the individual needs of the client, informed by a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework and drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Freya believes that people are more than the labels given to them and she empowers and supports her clients to move towards a life that is more meaningful, rewarding, and optimistic. If you’re here seeking support, you have taken a courageous step towards change.
Outside of work Freya enjoys baking sourdough bread, exploring new places, drinking tea, and going hiking.
