About
Shireen is a registered Psychologist and clinical psychology registrar who has worked with various public and private mental health teams. She has gained clinical experience with individuals of all ages across a broad range of settings including acute inpatient facilities, outpatient hospital settings, community mental health and emergency department settings. She has a particular interest in OCD, conducting various research studies while at university. Shireen completed her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Griffith University in Australia. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) and holds membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Shireen’s therapeutic style is compassionate and authentic, with a strong emphasis on building trust with clients. She incorporates a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Shireen tailors her interventions to each individual, using a variety of strategies to help clients make meaningful steps towards their specific goals.
